Girls uniform: We just want to confirm that last summer we changed the uniform policy to allow girls to wear black socks with their skirts in the summer term. I know that a number of families have not picked up on this change so hopefully this helps clarify the situation.

Due to a major event taking place at the school this afternoon, Picquets Way and the surrounding roads are likely to be significantly busier than normal. Where possible, please make alternative arrangements for picking your son/daughter up from school at the end of the day.

Year 7 vs Warwick

The Beacon went down to a  4-2 at Warwick in the district cup semi-final. The Beacon got off to a sluggish start and were deservedly 1-0 down at half time. After the break the boys came out firing and two goals in quick succession turned the game on its head and the Beacon were in the driving seat. Warwick equalised through a wonder goal from 30 yards out to make it 2-2. The game was now finely poised and both sides were pushing for the winner. Unfortunately Warwick got the next goal after a free kick was brilliantly saved by James but was bundled in from the resulting goal mouth scramble. The boys threw everything at Warwick for the last few minutes and were unlucky to concede a late goal on the counter.

The man of the match for the Beacon was goalkeeper James who continued his fine form with some outstanding saves and distribution.

Warwick away 12/12/18

The Beacon produced their best performance of the season so far with a 1-1 draw away against a strong Warwick side. Beacon were aggressive and on the front foot for the majority of the match and passed the ball out well from the back. Despite falling a goal behind just after half-time against the run of play, the boys rallied and pulled one back. Despite chances to win it late on the game finished as a draw. Special mentions to Thiago, Luca and goal scorer Sonny, but man of the match went to centre midfield Joe for his work rate and calmness on the ball.
