House System
The Beacon School House System aims to achieve and encourage the following principles:
To further develop the students' spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding and awareness
- To build a Community within each House
- To build healthy Ambition and a sense of pride in the House
- To recognise the value of showing Kindness to our peers, others in our school and the wider community
- To Endeavour to provide role models for the younger students
- To develop leadership and Integrity opportunities throughout the school
The House system allows all of our students to participate in House celebration assemblies and competitions and win valuable points for their Houses. House 'Proud' points are awarded in various ways, for example, through good attendance, positive behaviour, participation in extra-curricular activities, competitions and representation in sports teams and tournaments or school events.
Please see the attached poster for confirmation of the house competitions The Beacon School will run throughout the year.
The House names have been voted for by our students who have chosen individuals who they find inspirational through their demonstration of our school values.
