Textiles Curriculum Intent:
- To explore and develop their understanding of a range or textile artists and designers
- To understand how to respond to different artists creating practical samples using different mediums.
- To gain the knowledge and technical skills in embroidery, applique, painting, repeat patterns, using the heat press and working with plastics.
- To ensure lessons are accessible for all students regardless of their practical ability
- To broaden students knowledge of costume design
- To master a broad range of vocabulary within the topic and to be able to verbalise their learning
