Geography Curriculum Intent:
- To instil a passion for geographical and contemporary global issues.
- To be able to understand the why and how associated with the physical landscape along with an understanding of change over time.
- To be able to understand cause and effect between humans and the environment and recognise our responsibility to live sustainably.
- To inspire our students to question the world around them.
- To develop a sense of place and the interdependence between local place and other locations.
- To equip our students with the cultural capital and articulacy to be confident in a 21st century world.
- To instil a sense of empathy related to similarities and differences between people and place around the world.
- To develop the skills of literacy, numeracy, graphicacy, oracy, problem solving, fieldwork and mapskills.
