THE BEACON SCHOOL SPORTS DAY, 13 JULY

Sports Day |
Sports day will involve traditional events such as 100m; 200m; 300/400m; 800m; 4 x 100m Relay; Javelin; Discus; Shot Put and High jump.
There will also be retro events such as tug of war; egg toss; egg and spoon race; sack race; obstacle relay and tyred tutor relay. Students will be shown the full list of events in form time and tutors will be selecting teams during tutor time. We would like as many different students as possible actively taking part in the day so rewards will be given to form groups who have the largest number of different students competing.
What Should Students Bring: Students are to arrive at school in full Beacon PE kit, ready to take part in lots of sporting events. We hope for good weather; if the weather is hot, competitors and spectators should come with adequate sun protection (plain black sun hat, sun cream/block and plenty of water). The event is weather dependent and further information will be provided if there are any changes.
Finally, we understand that all students will demonstrate impeccable behaviour for the event. However, where students choose to not follow the rules, the behaviour policy will be followed. It will be a fantastic day where many students can participate in various events to represent their form and their houses.
Should you have any further questions please contact the PE department.
