COLLINS FACULTY UPDATE

Katie, Year 9 - Cricket Success

A huge congratulations to Katie in Year 9 for playing her first cricket game with Banstead Cricket Club. Katie recently picked up the new sport and was also inspired by a visit from Amy Gordon, an ex Beacon student, who now works as a community coach delivering cricket lessons to local schools. Amy has attended our school on several occasions to deliver cricket workshops to girls raising the profile of the sport. Well done Katie for taking part in your first official game, we're so pleased you now have the cricket bug!

House Dance Competition

Our house dance competition has officially kicked off. Students have been working hard in the studio to create a group choreography with a mixture of year groups in their designated houses. The theme for their choreography is 'dance through the ages'. We cannot wait to see their final performances. If you'd like to come and watch, we will be hosting a short performance on Tuesday 28th June at 5pm in the Main Hall. Tickets are not required for this event however, we will have buckets available after the show to raise money for the Ukraine appeal and the dance department.

Not already involved? It's not too late to sign up and help your house to win. Come along to the dance studio after school every Tuesday, 3pm - 4.15pm and join other students within your house colour. Please see Miss Walsh or Miss Flynn for further details.
