GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Citizenship

The fundamental intent of our curriculum is:

To ensure competency in literacy, numeracy and oracy

To give students the disciplinary knowledge in a broad range of subjects to allow them to enter the future pathway of their choice

To equip the students with the knowledge and skills relevant to life in the 21st century

To nurture students to become curious, resilient, empathetic, reflective and who aim for excellence

Subject curriculum intent:

  • To give students hands on experience with a range of aspirational subjects
  • To instil good practice for a range of writing and communication styles, in line with our English department
  • To prepare students for a social landscape relevant to life in the 21st Century
  • To allow our students to have a voice in the classroom on real social issues
  • To promote equality and diversity through the use of case-studies and critical reflection
  • Encourage curiosity and high aspirations for all students
