Year 8 Football Match

After a slow start to the New Year, the Year 8 Football Team had their first game of 2018. From the off, it was clear that Beacon were picking up from where they left off last year as some slick passing resulted in a number of scoring opportunities and it wasn’t long before Beacon had their first goal. Beacon dominated procession and debut goalkeeper, Billy Springall, had very little to do as RAAS were rarely able to penetrate a very strong defence. Though it could’ve been much more, the final score was 3-0 with goals coming from Sonnie Harris, Ben Wakeling and Tom Wakeling. Congratulations to all players involved who ensured that the year 8 unbeaten run continues.  Thanks must also be paid to the Beacon Parents’ Association for raising the funds that supplied the new football kit that was worn for the first time by the football team.
