GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

First Aid

First Aid Procedures

Effective from September 2022

STUDENTS TAKING REGULAR MEDICATION

  • Students on regular medication must leave it with the Principal First Aider and take it from their room at the right time. An authorisation form must be completed by the parent/carer.
  • At times, some students choose to carry their own medication.  Parents must inform the Year Leader and First Aiders if this is the case.

STUDENTS FEELING UNWELL DURING THE SCHOOL DAY

If a child is feeling unwell they can be sent to First Aid in the Link where we can support them with minor ailments and complaints. Please note no medication will be given including paracetamol unless supplied by the parent/carer and an authorisation form is completed.

SERIOUS MEDICAL NEEDS

  • FA will collect the students if required and take them to the FA area in The Link if possible.
  • FA administers assistance until parent/carer/paramedics arrive.
