District Sports at the K2 Arena

Well done to The Beacon School Athletics teams for Year 9 boys and Year 10 girls. A thoroughly exciting day in which The Beacon competed at the highest level.

Special mention to the following students:

Boys Team - Josh Tucker who came first in the Javelin, Alfie Mothersole who had a great race to get to the 100m finals and to both Jake Phillips (Triple Jump) and Nathaniel Kennard (Discus) for their performances that challenged the top spots.

Girls Team - Ellie Twaites for a courageous race in the 800m and Sofia Asady who had a brilliant run in the 1500m - both girls ran a strong race , just missing out on the finals.

Congratulations to all participants!
