GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Under 13’s Girls Football vs Royal Alexandra and Albert School

A massive well done to our Year 7 and 8 Girls who played in the league match last night against Royal Alexandra and Albert School. The weather conditions were not ideal, with it pouring down for the duration of the game, but this didn’t stop the team. Every game these girls amaze me with the quality of play and resilience they present, watching them play and grow every game as a team is a privilege. They remain undefeated still in the league, winning all of their games so far and not conceding a single goal. The final score was 8-0 to the Beacon! A massive shout out to all the girls involved and our goal scorers: Jess, Molly, Evie, Erin and our most sporting player Evie. These girls are role models and their teamwork and kindness do not go unnoticed. Parents and teachers of the opposing school commented on what a lovely, well-mannered team the girls are, which reflects how amazing our Beacon community is. Well Done girls we are super proud of you!
