GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The fundamental intent of our curriculum is:

To ensure competency in literacy, numeracy and oracy

To give students disciplinary knowledge in a broad range of subjects to allow them to enter the future pathway of their choice

To equip the students with the knowledge and skills relevant to life  in the 21st century 

To nurture students to become curious, resilient, empathetic, reflective and who aim for excellence 

Subject Curriculum Intent:

  • To develop an understanding of the main features of the Health and Social Care sectors in the UK
  • To enable students to understand how professionals and organisations work together to provide care
  • To gain an understanding of a variety of professional roles in the Health and Care sector, and the responsibilities and duties of these workers
  • To deepen understanding of human physical development through the life stages 
  • To understand that a range of external factors can affect human development, both mentally and physically.
