Girls uniform: We just want to confirm that last summer we changed the uniform policy to allow girls to wear black socks with their skirts in the summer term. I know that a number of families have not picked up on this change so hopefully this helps clarify the situation.

Due to a major event taking place at the school this afternoon, Picquets Way and the surrounding roads are likely to be significantly busier than normal. Where possible, please make alternative arrangements for picking your son/daughter up from school at the end of the day.

The Geography Department have dodged the rain this week and taken 120 Geographers to sunny Folkestone to collect primary data for their GCSE coastal studies. Students have learnt to beach profile, analyse sediment, complete EQIs and field sketch.👍 https://t.co/P2DntVGCTw

Year 7 Girls Football

Beacon 0 vs Glenthorne 4

Glenthorne were a tough team and they had some really fantastic players. Beacon could not seem to get the ball moving and it was a difficult game. Credit to both teams for the way in which the game was played but on the day Glenthorne were the stronger team.

Well done Year 7 girls on a fantastic first season.

Cheam High 2 The Beacon 1

A game of football to match the lovely sunny conditions but unfortunately Valentine’s Day fortune did not forgo for the year 7 girls football team at Cheam High this Thursday. In a very close game the girls fell just short in a 2-1 defeat. A very promising performance with many positives to take away from the game, but we were unable to finish some of the fantastic football that was played. Striking the woodwork on four or so occasions made not getting anything from the game a difficult result to swallow. Highlights of the game showed that Honey delivering an excellent corner with the finish just to match from Lacey as the ball curled in the top corner. An exciting time ahead for this team with hopefully lots of positive results to follow.
