As a member of the school, students will develop a sense of pride in themselves and their uniform. Parental co-operation is essential to achieve this important aim.

The school is very proud of the high standards of appearance created by our students wearing school uniform and the school expects all students in Years 7-11 to wear it correctly at all times. Any students who do not comply with the Uniform Regulations will be required to go home and rectify the matter.

Black
trousers
Plain black tailored trousers in a style suitable for school Striped, flecked, patterned or any other colour. No jeans, cords, shorts or skinny style trouser.
Plain white shirt Plain white with collar and sleeves. The school expects boys to ensure that their top button is done up at all times and that their shirt is tucked in. Any other style of shirt. Any shirts with a pattern of any description.
Tie* The Beacon School house tie.
Navy blue
V-necked pullover*
Plain blue V-neck long sleeved with house colour trim and The Beacon School logo also in house colour. Any other make, colour, style of pullover or cardigan of any kind.
Shoes Leather style plain black shoes with black soles and no decorative stitching. No boots, trainers or suede shoes.
Socks Black or dark grey socks only. Any other colour than black or grey.
Hair Hair must be of a natural colour in a  style suitable for school. Short shaven hair. Shaved lineds or patterns of any description.
Outer coat Outer coats should be of a dark colour suitable for school. We suggest that students who cycle to school ensure they wear visibility bands so they can been seen on dark nights. Denim jackets, brightly coloured outdoor coats. Sweatshirts and hooded tops including cardigans must not be worn at any time.
Jewellery No jewellery other than a wristwatch. No piercings are permitted; students will be required to remove them immediately if worn to school.

White with The Beacon logo in the house colour may be worn during Summer Term after half term.
GIRLS
Black trousers or skirt* Plain black tailored trousers in a style suitable for school. Plain black knee length skirt with a single pleat in the front. Striped, flecked, patterned or any other colour. No jeans, cords, shorts, leggings, bootleg, skinny style trousers or any trousers that appear to contain lycra.
Blouse* Short sleeve, open neck white and blue stripe blouse Any other style of shirt.
Navy blue V-necked pullover* Plain blue V-neck long sleeved with House colour trim and The Beacon School logo also in house colour. Any other make, colour, style of pullover or cardigan of any kind.
Shoes Leather style plain black shoes with black soles and no decorative stitching. No boots, trainers or suede shoes. High ankle kicker boots are not permitted. Unsafe heels, sling back or backless shoes.
Socks Black or white only. Only to be worn with trousers. Any other colour.
Tights Plain black, thick tights. No patterned styles. Socks may not be worn over tights.
Hair Hair must be of a natural colour with no shaven parts. Hair decorations must be small and discreet. Shaven hair or hair decorations other than small bands and clips.
