Although the two years in the Sixth Form mark the end of a student’s school life, it is really a time of exciting new beginnings. Following their time in The Beacon Sixth Form, students follow a variety of paths. The majority continue their education at University, with 65% choosing this option last year. Some choose to enter their chosen career or to start an apprenticeship. A number opt for a gap year to broaden their experience. The decisions that students make at this stage will shape their futures and we offer extensive support and guidance to ensure students are able to make informed choices.
When students leave at the end of their Sixth Form years, whatever their destination, they are motivated and confident, have respect for other people’s opinions and are ready to face the challenges ahead. In short, they are happy, independent young people who all have bright futures.
