The headline figure for A2 level attainment shows a steady increase over the last two years.  In 2017, at A2 level, there has been an increase in the percentage of students achieving A*/A, A*/B, A*/C, A*/D and A*/E grades, and average point score from 2016.

The AS results maintained its steady increase over the last four years. In 2017 there has been an increase in the percentage of students achieving A*/A, A*/B, A*/C, A*/D, A*/E from 2016.  The number of students taking AS examinations has decreased due to the phased introduction of the two year linear exams.

At BTEC Level, the percentage of students achieving a D*/D and D*/Merit has increased from 2016.  The D*/Pass grade has remained a constant 100% since 2012.

The Beacon Sixth Form A level Programme of Study is currently converting to linear two year course structure, following the government guidelines for course conversion.

Students who have chosen subjects that are already linear, who will study a course for two years and will be examined in the summer of 2018.
