Latest Netball Results

The Beacon School's Year 11 Netball team won all 5 of their games at the District Netball tournament on Wednesday, 11 October at Royal Alexandra and Albert School to be crowned the shield winners. They were absolutely superb and received many compliments from spectators and other players.

Ellie Thwaites the captain of the year 11 Netball team has done a write up on their victory in the week;

"On Wednesday 11 October, it was the year 11’s last opportunity to put any personal disappointments behind them and consolidate all they had learnt under the coaching of Miss Day.  The squad of 9 were all eager to compete in their last school tournament and come back with a final victory!  The team played 5 matches and after the first two wins the teams spirit was very high and knew they could be in with a chance of winning and being presented with medals.  Finally, after hard work and determination, the team managed to pull off a glorious 5 out of 5 match wins.  Everybody was delighted to say that The Beacon School had won the tournament! Everyone was over the moon that the year 11 team had finished with an unexpected victory!"
